About Me

Nicole, Nicolasa, Colita, Colie ❤

Proud sister & daughter. Doula-in-training. Eternal Student of the Red Road. Silly goose.

This work also heals me.

Ancestral inheritance is measured in so many ways, like with ancestral trauma and more importantly, with ancestral joy. I’ve inherited womb issues from my lineage that I’ve been trying to heal for a good time. More than a decade. Sometimes it takes that long (or even longer) to heal rooted issues like that.

One of the ways I heal is by taking care of myself first and foremost. Many of my ancestors did not have that luxury, putting family and children first beyond their own self-care, self-love and personal development. I value myself. I love myself first. And I fill my cup first before I do it for others.

One of the other ways I heal is by speaking up. By being heard and by always using my voice, loudly and proudly. Because many of my female ancestors could not speak up, because of societal conditioning, because of how women are treated and because of circumstances they could not change. I speak for them. I sing for them. And in those moments, I AM them.

For that reason, any work that I do here also heals me, also nurtures me and also hugs me deep. Thank you for allowing me to share that with you. ❤
